ABOUT ME
Coming from a family of educators, hospitality seemed a left of field choice for me as a teen; announcing that I was going to own a hotel one day.
At exactly fourteen years and nine months my time to enter the hospitality industry was here, working my way through fast food venues, bakeries and hotels. By completion of secondary school I was accepted into a Hospitality Apprenticeship with Mercure Hotel. Learning how to successfully operate a fine dining restaurant was a challenge and I truly thrived in the arena, solidifying my choice to pursue a hospitality career.
I made it a personal goal to work in every department over the hospitality space and successfully worked my way around the world as a bartender, waitress, housekeeper, kitchen hand, receptionist, sales and marketing co-ordinator and human resources administrator before taking on supervisory then management roles in restaurants and accommodation sites.
In 2015 I purchased my first business, a boutique accommodation venue with a restaurant and bar. The learning curve was steep and thrilling as I spent the next ten years refining my skills and creating a venue that was memorable, efficient and customer focused. The lease on my commercial building ended in 2025 and now I embark on a new journey, to help people just like me fulfil their dreams of owning a successful boutique hospitality venue.
I am incredibly passionate about helping others achieve success. I love dreaming up fabulous ideas, problem solving and working with what is available to bring ideas into reality.
Outside of the hospitality space my Golden Retriever, Truly, is the sunshine of each day. I enjoy reading, walking, spending time with my partner, Evan, and our families, researching and, of course, holidays and weekends away to enjoy everything the tourism and hospitality sector has to offer!
